WebJun 26, 2015 · Jun 24, 2015. #1. Recently for reasons unknown my monitor has started making a static/white noise with occasional outbursts of ear splitting crackling. Interestingly enough, the monitor is silent when not connected to the computer and even during startup until the Windows 8 login page appears. I have attached a video to illustrate this.
